Business Development Manager: Construction
EWS works across multiple sectors within the public and private construction service markets. We are seeking a full time Business Development Manager with demonstrated BD experience in the Telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will be an independent, self-starting, individual that is able to take broad direction, then work autonomously to find, develop and foster business relationships that provide the company opportunities to capture new work. The position involves extensive networking with a diverse group of professionals throughout the wireless industry.
Identify and acquire new business. Call on customers and prospects in designated customer categories. 
Maintain and grow existing customer base. Increase customer base and the frequency of purchases.
Participate in trade shows as required. Provide customers and EWS personnel with technical assistance. 
Review bid specifications, perform site walks, prepare bids/quotes. Maintain positive working relationship with customers, vendors, fellow employees and management. Keep up with market trends, emerging technologies and new product offerings. Keep up to date on our manufacturers' products, and those of competitors. Assist customers in product identification, pricing and availability when needed. Identify customer's needs - provide pricing, literature and other requests. Maintain awareness of marketing activities, pricing, and our competitors. Knowledgeable and up-to-date on new product information through continued education of the products that we offer. Submit quotes to customers as requested and follow-up regularly and in a timely manner to these quotations. Outbound calling and prospecting to assigned account base and leads. Keep customers informed of any new product lines that may be of interest to them specifically or that maybe beneficial to their business. Maintain adequate and consistent communication with each customer. Ensure that all assigned customer calls and service requests are handled in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure sales and Gross Margin dollar growth in each of the assigned accounts. Keep management informed of all current activities. Maintain concise documentation of activities and expenses and submit to EWS management in a timely manner. At all times, conduct one's self in such a manner as to promote EWS’s professional image.
7+ years’ experience as Business Development Manager with a strong understanding of Estimating in Telecommunications. Preferred experience with various types of cell site Construction (New Builds and Modification Installations, Civil, MW, Commissioning/Integration, Tiger Team, Quality Assurance), Electrical (AC/DC Audits, Generators, Fuel Cells, AC for New and Mod Sites), Technical (BTS Install, Commissioning, Testing, Call Testing, LMU Install, Integration, Testing, Fiber, Sweep and PIM Testing, Site Maintenance).
Ability and willingness to travel to various markets. Ability to perform tasks with limited supervision. 
Leadership with skills to positively influence others, collaborate with teammates, communicate on the level of others, listen and understand people in circumstances common in the workplace. Excellent communicator, communicating clearly and often (written and oral). Ability to embrace corporate values, understand the company mission and exemplify leadership behaviors. Independent work style and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. MS Word and PowerPoint skills required but candidate should be very strong in MS Excel as well. MUST be able to pass a background (no felony charges) and drug screen and have a clean driving record (No DUI).

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quick Base often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quick Base finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quick Base needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
