DAS Field Engineer
The right candidate will be responsible for the planning / delivery of major venues and strategic in-building projects and proposals from original concept through final implementation. These projects will involve extensive coordination of staff and significant technical challenges. Work on large multiple projects will be required. Success will be measured by execution and completion of the programs to the established budgets and customer satisfaction. In addition, the position will wear many hats: PM, field RF benchmark surveys and bid walks, meetings with carrier RF and Construction Engineers, CIOs, CTOs, Real Estate Managers, and management of vendors. We are looking for someone with:

•    A completed Bachelor’s Degree, preferably engineering and a minimum of five (5) years experience in project management (including but not limited to site selection and design, system design, system integration, system assembly of equipment and managing complex implementations).
•    Must have 3-5 years experience in telecom site development and be proficient in benchmarking, CW testing, have iBwave experience, creation of bill of materials (BOM).
•    Must have working knowledge of all major DAS and Smart Cell vendors. Hands-on implementation experience is key.
•    Experience in Commissioning Sites
•    Strong Leadership Qualities
•    Ability to Lead and Train a team of DAS Technicians
•    Successfully Troubleshoot Sites and Train Team on How’s and Why’s of Troubleshooting
•    Successfully Designed and Implemented Multi-Carrier DAS Systems.
•    Successfully Designed and Implemented 2/4 of the following technologies:  MobileAccess, TE, and Commscope, Solid
•    Mastery of Microsoft Office Software (Particularly MS Excel)
•    Familiar with Common DAS Equipment including Coaxial Cable, Antennas, Splitters, Fiber Cable, etc.
•    Adept at Managing Budgets and Project Schedule
•    Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to articulate complex concepts to a broad range of internal and external audiences.
Helps Develop and Manage the plan for multiple projects; oversees aspects of the schedule and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for projects which includes accurate estimating work breakdown structure, resource allocation, key milestones, project objectives and scope definition.
Knowledge of RF Communications
Employee possesses a sound understanding of antenna and amplifier properties and characteristics.  The DAS /RF Engineer is also well versed in using a spectrum analyzer and collecting RF signal measurements for numerous wireless technologies.
Knowledge of In-Building Technologies
Employee is proficient with the latest Solid, Mobile Access, TE Connectivity, and/or Commscope DAS products and can deliver sound Distributed Antenna System designs for each with minimal assistance.
Knowledge of Wireless Communications Technologies
Employee is developing a working knowledge of all major wireless technologies and can deliver multi-technology designs that are acceptable to all wireless carrier standards and are cost-effective.  The Engineer s adept at performing signal analysis of all technologies mentioned above and understands their channel characteristics.
Project Management
Employee can successfully manage a project to completion through effective customer coordination, field operations leadership, and logistics management skills.  The Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all installations meet the highest quality installation standards and instructs technicians to correct all installation defects.
Customer Management
Employee is adept at presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical customers.  Employee is also proficient at managing customer expectations and obtaining new revenue opportunities.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quick Base often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quick Base finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quick Base needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
